How to Play

The control scheme is minimalist: hold to fly upward, release to drop. That is the entirety of the mechanics, making timing the real challenge.

• Desktop: Hold the Left Mouse Button or the Spacebar to ascend; let go to drop. Use P or Tab to pause.
• Mobile: Press and hold your finger on the screen, then release to fall.
• Practice Mode: Press Q to drop a checkpoint, and E to remove the last one.

Keep an eye out for hazard signs and directional arrows—they telegraph upcoming threats before they can end your run.

Hyper Wave Trial Rewards: Coins, Stars, and Cups

The game features four distinct reward types, each serving a specific purpose. Coins are gathered mid-flight during stages and can be spent on cosmetic skins. Crystals and Stars are granted upon clearing a level. Stars hold the most weight: they contribute to your global leaderboard ranking, meaning every completed stage elevates your position.

Then there is the Cup, awarded for absolute perfection. Clear a level without a single respawn, and it is yours. With 49 skins available, your starting Wave doesn't have to be your final one. Every attempt yields some progress; even failed runs help you memorize the layout.

Portals Change Everything

Just as a level begins to feel manageable, a portal alters the fundamental rules. There are four variants, each disrupting your flow in unique ways. The Gravity Portal inverts the world, forcing your Wave toward the floor instead of the ceiling. The Mirror Portal flips the entire stage, shifting your Wave to the opposite side of the screen. The Size Portal shrinks your Wave, which seems advantageous until the gaps shrink proportionally. Finally, the Dual Portal is the most brutal: it spawns a second Wave flying directly at your original. Understand what each portal does before hitting one at top speed; mid-level surprises are the top cause of run-ending crashes.

Worlds and Difficulty

Three worlds, 30 stages, and a difficulty curve that starts welcoming and becomes ruthlessly demanding. World 1 introduces the core mechanics with generous gaps and forgiving designs. By the time you hit World 3, the game expects pixel-perfect control and prior mastery of every portal. The good news? Stages aren't locked. You can jump straight to any level, though starting from level one builds the essential muscle memory required later. Anticipate frequent deaths. This isn't failure; it's the core loop: crash, learn the pattern, progress slightly further, and repeat until the portal is secured.
